Just Add Ink #492

19th February 2020 2 Comments

Welcome! For this weeks Just Add Ink challenge, I decided to use some of the Peaceful poppies suite. I went with the one of the designer series papers which was a vibrant red poppy design for the background.

I used the large die from the Stitched Labels Dies and cut it out of the stripey green paper to add some contrast.

I love the peaceful poppies elements set as there are so many ways to use them. I used one of the poppy images to go on the die cut shape. I added the sentiment from the Floral Essence stamp set to the top of the die cut shape too.

To the bottom of the card, I added some of the mossy meadow linen thread to add some of more dimension.

Although the colours on the card are very vibrant, they coordinate and the elements on the card don’t hide within the busy background too.

This is the sketch I used.

Thanks for visiting, Louise.

I love the contrast between your two strong paper patterns Louise and how when you look deeper you see all that lovely intricate detail on the striped panel! Thanks for joining us at Just Add Ink this week. Kim

A great idea to stamp on the DSP, I often forget to do this. Poppy papers and images are lovely too. Chantell Just Add Ink
