Freshly Made Sketch #379

16th March 2019 2 Comments

Hi there!

When I saw this weeks sketch from Freshly Made Sketches #379 I knew that I wanted to use the balloons from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set.

I used the Mint Macaron and Balmy Blue inks for the balloons and added some of the Natures Twine for the string.

I cut a strip of patterned paper from the Twinkle Twinkle papers and added it to the bottom of the card.

For the sentiment, I used the party time from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set with the Balmy Blue ink and stamped it on a stitched circle.

I mounted the circle on to a starburst and placed it so that the strings of the balloons were behind the starburst.

I was quite tempted to add more to the card but decided to keep it quite simple and it makes a good masculine card.

This is the sketch for this week:

I definitely think less is more on your card; I think it is fabulous! The colors and subtle patterns are perfect for a masculine card. I really love the faux stitching look of the patterned paper. Thanks so much for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches!

I love the balloons floating out of the sentiment on the circle – and I love the colors! Thank you for playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches.
